JPMX's Harold Goodman
Flies In Franklin

ATVA Extreme Dirt Track - Round 4
Franklin, PA - July 4th

Storm clouds moved in on the Tri City Raceway in Franklin, Pennsylvania on July 3rd and put a squelch on practice for the fourth round of the 2008 ATVA Extreme Dirt Track Series. Overnight the storm clouds rolled away and promoters Rich and Michelle Hetrick of Hetrick Racing got busy to pull off what one person in attendance classified as an excellent event regardless of the previous day's circumstances.

JPMX sponsored and Honda mounted seasoned Pro Harold Goodman continued his winning streak in the Pro class by shaking off the challenges of Michael Coburn for the second round in a row. Coburn aced Goodman to take the heat win but Goodman bounced back in the main, winning with flying colors over Coburn. Mitch Reynolds, round one winner, who'd suffered an injury while racing MX, shook off his pain and rounded out the top three.

Goodman's win netted him his third consecutive win in the series so far this year and his points lead edged further and further ahead of the rest of the Pro field. Coburn cranked in his third consecutive second place finish to stay in the second spot while Brad Riley and Mitch Reynolds continued to make their bid for the third spot in the overall standings.

In the Pro/Am Lites class Goodman and Chuckie Creech swapped 1's and 2's in the heats and mains and Creech came out the victor in the
swap- fest. With Creech taking the event win, Goodman followed in second while Reynolds rounded out the top three. Although he didn't manage to put Creech in his back pocket, Goodman continued to hold the points lead in the overall standings in the class.

From PA the series pulled up stakes and headed for round 5 at the famed Ashtabula Raceway in Ashtabula, Ohio on July 11th and 12th.
